Jeanne's Wreath...An Easy How-To

"We have been friends together,
In sunshine and in shade."
~Caroline Sheridan Norton

One of my best friends is also my neighbor. Jeanne is the first person I met when I moved to Sutton Place....and that was almost 20 years ago. When we get together it's non-stop talking. Unfortunately for this how-to we were gabbing away and I forgot to take pictures after about the first 3 steps. So I have the beginning and the end. I'll try to explain the middle...I promise it's not hard at all.

This is her inspiration picture. It's the door of a cute little shop in our downtown. She took the picture out the window of her car with a zoom lens. Not great quality but it did the trick.

We couldn't find the exact flowers...they almost look like white sunflowers and they were no where to be found. So we opted for white gerbera daisies.

We added a bunch of smaller daisies and some greenery.

This was all we needed. Everything came from Hobby Lobby and all of it was half price.
We added another bunch of daisies and a few more gerberas about halfway through.

First with every wreath is making the hanger.

This is where I stopped taking pictures. So totally lame.

But this is what we did...
Wired the greenery on in about 3 places.
Cut the stems of the gerbera daisies to about 6 inches.
Start sticking them in the wreath sort of randomly.
Then we cut down the little daisies and made two bunches.
They went in the wreath at about 4 o'clock and 10 o'clock.
No glue AT ALL.

And wa-la...

Jeanne's wreath.

Here it is on her front door.
